Terry Wolfe

He was born February 21, 1952 in Parkersburg, WV, a son of the late Melvin Wolfe and Frances Ellen Smith Wolfe.

Terry was a proud graduate of Parkersburg South High School. He honorably served his country in the 1092nd National Guard, retiring after 21 dedicated years of service. He spent over 30 years working through Laborers Local 1085 and took great pride in his time with Schneider Construction Company.

In his free time, Terry found joy in life’s simple pleasures- hunting, taking long walks with his beloved dog Janey, and relaxing with his favorite old westerns. Above all, he cherished the laughter, loyalty, and countless memories shared with his dear friends, Randy Lee, Rex Gilbert, Danny Mullen and special nephew, Roy Schneider. He also enjoyed spending time with his neighbors, Chris, Brian and Austin, whose friendship meant so much to him. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left behind to cherish his memory include his wife, TerryLynn Wolfe; daughter, Heather (Jacob) Cain; brother, Roy (Patricia) Wolfe; sister, Brenda (Rodney) Moore; grandchildren, Dyllan (Sydney) Caplinger; Hailey (Jake) Bonnell, Kylee Caplinger, Sutton Caplinger, Iris Vanmeter, and Emmi Bonnell.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gary; sister-in-law, Brenda, and father of his grandchildren, Kenny Caplinger.

Funeral services will be 12 PM Saturday February 21, 2026 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Lester Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 6 PM to 8 PM Friday February 20, 2026 at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service from 11 AM to 12 PM on Saturday.
