Theodore Noel Riddle Jr., 84, of Parkersburg, WV went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 11, 2019. He was born on July 17, 1935 in Burnt House, WV, a son of the late Theodore Noel Riddle Sr. and Wilma Virginia (Goff) Riddle. Ted graduated from Harrisville High School in 1953. While attending high school he qualified for the L.K.R. High School Athletic Conference Football Game. He received a full scholarship from Salem College, graduated in 1957 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Teaching, and then taught school at Murphytown for two years. He worked at DuPont (Butacite) for 34 years (17 years in production and then 17 years as a foreman following construction). He was a member of The Gospel Baptist Church in Torch, OH, enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, spending time with family and loved yearly vacations in Gatlinburg, TN. Ted was always there for everyone and was a father figure to many. Ted is survived by his wife, Barbara (Flinn) Weekley Riddle, four daughters, Julie (Scott) Bennett of Jacksonville, NC., Jill Riddle of Parkersburg, Linda (Don) Wiblin of Parkersburg, Cindy (Layne) Marks of Little Hocking, OH, eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Also surviving him are one sister, Anita (Johnny) Scott, brothers, Don (Carolyn), Roger (Linda), Ron (Peg), brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dave and Patty Flinn and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents two brothers, Von and Ricky, and sister-in-law, Sandy, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Jay Hubbard officiating. Visitation will be Friday, December 13, 2019 at the Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service.
