He was born July 26, 1962, a son of the late Bill McCartney and Jeanne Greenlief McCartney.
Bill graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1981. He worked at Storks Bakery and later as a mechanic at Astorg Motors. He had many talents mechanically, if it had a motor he could make it run. He loved cars and enjoyed going to car shows. Bill always had a big heart and loved animals. He always carried a baggie with dog treats to give to any dogs that he came across. He was a prankster, loved a good joke, and was happiest when he was making others laugh, as a prank, him and his friends put bubbles in the City Park fountain.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include his sister, Linda (Tim) Fallon of VA; niece, Courtney Post of VA; nephews, Nicholas Post, Robert Fallon of VA.
There will be no services at this time. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
