William Cunningham

William (Willie) A. Cunningham passed away peacefully in his sleep with his dog, Buddy, by his side on April 3, 2025. Willie was born on December 15, 1956 to the late Don E. and Lura Neil (West) Cunningham.

He loved fishing, camping,and being outdoors. Willie loved his country and bluegrass music, picking up a guitar to play a tune to anyone who listened. He spent many hours picking guitar with his stepson, Charlie, as well as many of his friends. If you walked through the woods with him, he would identify every plant, tree, flower and tell you what purpose they have as well as health benefits. He was a true believer in God,a devout Christian. Willie will truly be missed but never forgotten.

Those left behind to cherish is memory are his siblings, Barbara (Virgil) Howerton of Beckley, WV, Donna Skeen of Parkersburg, WV, Brenda(James) Murrell of Missouri, Dawn (Doug) Maston of Davisville, WV, Gail (Todd) Kesterson of Washington, WV, and Dale(Tina) cunningham of Montana; and stepson, Charlie Sears.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Randy Cunningham.

He was a very private person and did not want any funeral services. The family will hold a private celebration of life.
