

He was born Sept. 19, 1953 in Elizabeth, WV, a son of the late Woodrow W., Sr. and Rhoda Maude Whitlock Moss.
Woodie owned and operated the Busy Bee and Stealey’s Dry Cleaners. He was also the owner of Building Specs. Home Inspection Company. For many years, he managed the North End Market. He graduated from WVU-P with a bachelor’s degree in business and accounting. He was a member of the Nemesis Shrine, the Vienna Masonic Lodge #172, City Soul Ministries and an honorary member of the Gunsmoke Hunt Club. He was an avid scuba diver, hunter and fisherman, and loved all of his dogs.
He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 41 years, Deborah J. Marks Moss; two daughters, Jennifer Moss-Miller of Davisville and Amanda Moss Dawkins and her husband, James Rusty, of Walker; two grandchildren, Heidi Danielle Miller and Brittany Leigh Dawkins; two brothers, Floyd Herman Moss and his wife, Mary, of Ripley, and Ronald Michael Moss and his wife, Sandy, of Houston, TX; three sisters, Margaret Peggy Bee and her husband, Bob, of Florida, Nancy Lee Conant and her husband, Larry, of Belleville, WV, Lydia Mae Crislip and her husband, Roger, of Gandeeville; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Donna Byers, his caregiver.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Charles Moss and grandparents.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 10th, 2013 at 1 p.m. at the Sunset Memorial Funeral Home in Parkersburg with Rev. David and Rev. Luke Easter and Rev. Bob Keene officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens with Masonic Rites by Vienna Masonic Lodge #172. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
