It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Anne Kathleen McLaughlin.
Anne is predeceased by her son Stephen and her husband Patrick McLaughlin. She is survived by her sons James (Ji-Sook) and Mark (Christine) McLaughlin and her siblings Mary (Noel) Aitken, Gabrielle (Ian) Milne, Greg (Colleen) Larsen, Susan (Barry) Larsen and John Larsen as well as her grandchildren Christopher and Katrina McLaughlin.
Born in Hamilton, New Zealand, Anne grew up in Auckland where she completed nursing training and met Patrick. Anne moved to Canada in 1963 and settled in Port Alberni BC, where she pursued her nursing career, raised her family and formed lifelong friendships before retiring and moving to French Creek, BC. She lived her life with a quiet devotion to her Catholic faith and was actively involved in community and international charities.
Much loved for her grace, kindness, generosity, intelligence and humour, Anne will be deeply missed.
