Predeceased by: Sons Donald in 2000 and Wayne in January of this year. Barbara is survived by Len (Jo-Ann) of Parksville, Allan of 100 Mile house and Colin of Nanaimo. Grandchildren; Andrew, Chris, Jamie and Shawn (Katy). Numerous great grandchildren. Barb is survived by her brother Wally of McGrath, Alberta. She also leaves behind very old and dear friends who were her second family “The Elgie Family”.
Barbara was born and lived her whole life in Nanaimo, first on Millstone Ave and then on Wexford in Chase River. She was happiest in her garden either watching over her veges or tending to her Rhodo’s. In the last years of her life she always managed to have one of her boys plant at the very least peppers and a few tomatoes.
Her grandchildren always brought a twinkle to her eyes and was so proud of her great grandchildren.
By Barbara's request, she will be interned next to her mother in Nanaimo City Cemetery at a later date.
