(Bob) Solomon Robert GRAHAM

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our father, grandfather, great grandfather - Bob Graham on January 27, 2013 at Port Alberni. 

Bob was predeceased by his parents Merrel & Edith, wife Josie, sister Dora & brother David.  He leaves to mourn his children Tim (Lori), Rodney, Katerina (Brad), Todd (Sandra); grandchildren Bailey (Mark), Matthew (Brittany), Courtney (Chris), Melissa, Kelsey, Sean, Matthew, Ryan, Kristen (Brian); great grandchildren Sophie, Hadden; sisters Betty, Donna; many nieces and nephews; special people such as Keith & Hazel Young, niece Linda (Henry) Oosterom and many relatives and friends.

Bob was born on October 15, 1940 in Grande Prairie, Alberta and at the age of two years moved to Port Alberni with his family.  He grew up in Beaver Creek where he met Josie. They married July 14, 1961 and went on to have four children. They lived a happy life together until Josie’s passing in 1999.

Bob worked for a short time at Alply (where his father Merrel had worked) and then on to Sproat Lake Division with M&B where he worked surveying, scaling, falling, driving logging truck, and also at the fire department; retiring in 1998.

After the passing of Josie he spent his life with his family and friends; and working at the McLean Mill, which he loved – it became his passion and we are certain this is what gave him his “Life Meaning & Purpose”.

There will be a Reception (with a Cash Bar) on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the Italian Centre -  4065 Sixth Avenue, starting at 1:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the BC Cancer Foundation.
