I am sorry to hear of Mr. Thorburn's passing and send sincere condolences.  I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Thorburn at our 49th Annual Ceremonial Review, June  2014.  It was an honour to meet him as he was a former Commanding Officer of 754 Phoenix Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron, Port Moody, in the early 80's. I enjoyed hearing stories of his time at 754.  He is an important part of our squadron's history, positively impacting tri-cities youth and the community. We are grateful for his past service to our squadron.
