Christine O'CONNELL

She leaves behind to forever miss her, daughters, Callie, Valerie, and Sharon (Doug); son, Rob (Monika); grandchildren, Derek, Sara, Anthony, Michelle (Tyler), Sandie, Roman, Samantha and Alexandra; sisters, Alice (Bob) and Florence; brother, Eli (Lindsey); great grandchildren, Matteo, Rafe, Easton, Addison, Brook, and Nixon; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.  Christine was predeceased by her parents, Eli and Mabel; sister, Tilda; daughter, Debbie, grandson, Michael; and husband, Don.

Christine was born in Trail, BC and starting her working career in the hospital in Port Alberni.   After moving to Kelowna, she worked as a Home Care Aid and spent many years learning the stock market.  A kind, gentle and loving person, Christine owned and operated a wig business where she supported cancer patients through the emotional trauma of losing their hair.

After retiring and moving to Qualicum Beach, Christine became an active member in the Legion and enjoyed time spent with family and friends.

A Celebration of Christine’s Life will be held from 11:00 to 2:00 pm on Sunday, June 25th at 3831 Cowley Road in Port Alberni.  In lieu of flowers, please consider honouring Christine’s memory by making a donation in her name to the BCSPCA.

A true lady - she remained brave and beautiful until the end.
