RUDY, Connie Marie

April 27, 1959 – August 30, 2013

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Connie, loving wife and dearest Mommy. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Ken, children, Darren (Kelsea) and Shane (Bob), mother, Vi, brother, Gord (Shelly), sister, Karen (Dave), sisters-in-law, Pam (Mel) and Jeanne (Mike), nieces and nephews, Devon, Sula, Jonathan, Brandi, Donovan and Sheena, other relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her father, Raymond and father and mother-in-law, John and Anne Rudy.

Connie was a devoted wife and mother. She was incredibly supportive of her sons in their many hobbies and sports, often getting involved herself. She enjoyed spending time with her family, bringing everyone together for any occasion. She shared a love of the outdoors with her husband, especially camping trips, hikes, and kayaking adventures. Vacations in the sun with family and friends will be fondly remembered. 

She had a successful working career that was defined by not only her exemplary work ethic, but her cheerfulness, humility and ability to discern the good in all situations making for positive, lasting working relationships and friendships, past and present.

Her sunny disposition and passion for life are a lasting inspiration. Her genuine, ever-present smile will be deeply missed, but forever treasured.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sat, Sep 7th at 1pm at the Bavaria Centre (3035 4th Ave, Port Alberni). The family would appreciate, if in lieu of flowers, donations were made to the Alberni Valley Hospice Society or InspireHealth: Integrative Cancer Care.
