

Dorothy Leach passed away peacefully at the age of 92 years. Dorothy was born to Barbara Risbeck in Regina Saskatchewan on February 17, 1932. She and her husband Murray moved to Nanaimo, BC in 1984 and enjoyed their retirement years together. She was a devoted wife to Murray Leach for 68 years until the time of his death in 2019. Dorothy was predeceased by her sister Marie Short and brother John Risbeck. She is survived by her two sons, Richard Leach (Marilyn) and Michael Leach (Heather) as well as her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dorothy was a stay at home mom and loved gardening and cooking. She also enjoyed many leisure activities such as camping, sewing, watercolour painting, dancing, skating, skiing, playing cards, golf and reading books. Many years were spent at Fairmont Hot Springs in the spring to start the golf season. Dorothy will be remembered for her hospitality to family and friends, spending time with her sons, her infectious laugh and her love of slapstick comedy in tv shows such as I love Lucy.
