

She joined the RCAF in 1942 as an Equipment Assistant, working in Technical Stores serving her country for 3 ½ years. On discharge in 1946 she came to Vancouver and married her husband Joseph Martin, moving to North Vancouver. Here they founded Martin Marine, a ships chandlery store. Predeceased by her husband of 20 years, she leaves to mourn daughter Carol Martin, daughter Dianne Volrich, son John Martin, daughter Susan Mielke, and her husband Ron Mielke, daughter Mary Martin and her husband Douglas Carnegie, 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many relatives in Niagara Falls, Ontario. She was a member of the Auxiliary to Lions Gate Hospital for 30 years.

A Memorial Service will be held at at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 29th at St. Andrews United Church 1044 St. George’s Avenue, North Vancouver, BC. A reception in the church basement will follow.
She let us run, explore, invent, learn respect, serve our communities, and strengthened the family bonds we all share with each other.
