Ron was predeceased by wife Sheila and stepson Daniel. Ron was a devoted & loving husband to Joanne for 25 years; father to Marilou Gwartney of Surrey, Maureen (Gary) Parkinson of Calgary; stepfather to Markus Mc Nerney of Vancouver; grandfather to Dane, Brett, Rene, and Jeffery. He leaves 6 great grandchildren, brother David (Carol); sister Joyce (George) McClusky; Lynda (Ron) Scambler and many nephews & nieces.
Ron’s life was devoted to his family, his friends, his pets, but mostly to his trucks. Ron went from the grease pits to Transportation Manager in his 37 years with Woodwards. When he retired, he kept busy with his beautiful yard and enjoyed the company of his many friends. Ron was Joanne’s one true love and will be missed forever.
A celebration of Ron’s life will be held in Qualicum Beach towards summer. In the lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer’s Society or your local SPCA.
