Florence JOHNSTON

Was born April 27th, 1928 and passed away peacefully on February 5th, 2014 at the West Coast General Hospital.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Bob, parents John and Senja, brother Ty, Onni and Carl; sisters Helen and Sylvia, and sister-in-law Dorothy.  Florence will be sadly missed by her son Cameron, daughter Norma (Pat) Proutt, brother Wes (Pat), sisters Lil and Sadie, sister-in-law Irene, brother-in-law Bill (Gladys), grandchildren Senja, Amanda, Shiloh, Keziah, PJ, Shane, Andrew, Karen, Laura (Mark) VanDiermen, Troy (Michelle) Cyr, great grandchildren Caleb, Danaye, Keeva, Tauni, Deannah, Brandon, Haley and Brett as well as many nieces, nephews and their families.

Special thanks to Dr. Smit and the staff at West Coast General Hospital and the staff at Heritage Place for their care and professionalism.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at the Port Alberni Youth Center – home of the Navy League of Canada – 4210 Cedarwood Street (the old Glenwood School behind Circle Dairy).  Cremation has taken place.
