It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George Henry Adams. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Doreen; twin sons; a daughter; grandchildren; as well as many extended family members and good friends.
George was a proud member of Branch #49 of the Royal Canadian Legion. A true family man, he liked to keep busy and after his retirement from the mines spent many happy hours travelling with Doreen, tempting lady luck at the casinos, and wintering in Yuma. Not one to sit still, George could often be found puttering in his workshop or his garden – always something to fix, to build, weeds to pull, or flowers to plant.
Doreen would like to extend many thanks to the medical team at the Palliative Care Unit of NRGH for the kindness, support, and compassion they showed during this difficult time.
In keeping with George’s wishes, no service will be held. Those wishing to honour his memory may do so by making a donation in his name to the Parksville SPCA, PO Box 1407, Parksville, BC V9P 2H3
