My father and his brother George were separated and orphaned  around the ages of 3 and 4 and did not get reunited until they were in their late fifties! But I was so excited when a friend called me and said a George Juen was looking for his brother. This was before the internet so finding someone long lost was nearly impossible! But he found us! George and his wife Gertrude travelled all the way from Vancouver Island to Mobile Alabama to meet his brother for the first time, and then they continued on up to Buffalo NY to meet me and my family! It was so wonderful to finally meet him and his wife! And then, my daughter Michele and I travelled to Vancouver Island to once again meet with Uncle George! It was really a wonderful trip!
My only regret is that he came into our lives so late, and wish that we could have been a family all along and shared special occasions! But we were fortunate to find each other regardless!
I am sadden to learn of his passing, but he did live a long life for sure!
May he Rest In Peace, and know that we think of him often.
