Gloria Jean HOOPER

Gloria was born in St. Boniface, Manitoba on April 8th, 1945 to Victoria and Louis Key. She was the oldest of 6 children: Donna, Lindy Lou, Betty Lou, Bonnie, and Larry.

Gloria was a very kind hearted and generous person. She was very artistic and loved many forms of art and was talented in crafts of all kinds.... It seemed that anything she made or anything new that she tried, she excelled at. She loved to spend time with her friends in her ladies group WINGS and always looked forward to seeing them and going on their latest excursion or working on a new art project. If it was a beautiful day, you could maybe find her in her garden.

She had a great love for all creatures great and small and has always had cats in her home. Gloria was a supporter of CatSpan and the SPCA and was always doing something to help them out, whether it be taking care of the feral cat Patches living on her deck, or collecting items for the animal charities. She believed in magic and fantasy and was so imaginative with her arts, her garden and stories. She loved to dream with her daughter Amber about traveling, and exploring faraway places together. Gloria loved going to the beach and she always felt that Long Beach in Tofino was home to her....she loved where she lived. Gloria truly was a gift to us. She was a beautiful person inside and out. We will so miss her sparkling personality and her goofy ways... her smile and her hugs. We will miss everything about her.

Gloria was preceded in death by her mother, Victoria, father, Louis, sisters, Betty Lou and Bonnie, mother in law, Nancy and father in law, Percy. Gloria leaves behind her husband, Bill, her daughters, Amber (Lonni) and Tammy (Darren), sisters, Lindy Lou and Donna and brother, Larry.

Thank you to everyone for your love and support at this extremely hard time. She will be greatly missed by all.
