It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Helmut (Hal) Baier. He passed peacefully during the early morning of January 19th after a lengthy battle with pulmonary fibrosis. He leaves behind his wife Edna, daughter Lisa (Craig), son Tim (Catharine), and grandchildren Abbey, Davis, Carter, and Elise.
The family wishes to express their most profound gratitude to the many health and home-care professionals who allowed Hal's daily struggle with his illnes to be one of dignity and comfort. He was so lucky to have all your assistance throughout the difficult road he travelled. Special thanks to Dr. Fletcher and Ramone for the extra mile they went in supporting both Hal and Edna with this very difficult past year.
There will be a Celebrtion of Life to take place at the Peace Mennonite Church in Richmond BC on Saturday, January the 26th, 2013 from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm, 11571 Daniels Road, Richmond BC. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be sent to the BC Lung association in Hal's name.
