

Joan “Rosalie” Harris was born on Aug 2 1932. The youngest of 5 children, Phillip, Harold, Ruth and Marion. She was born at Cavalier’s in Kingston, Jamaica. In 1947 she sailed alone ahead of her family on freighter to Victoria, BC Canada. Her family followed a year later. She graduated from Victoria high school, married and had 2 children Daniel and Cathrine. Rosalie had a successful singing and modeling career which moved her family to Seattle in 1968. She returned to her homeland Canada in 1977 where she grew in her Christian faith, became a hair stylist and helped train young ladies for beauty pageants. The last 7 years of her life she spent with her beloved son Daniel and his wife Meg. Enjoying life on the farm surrounded by cattle, swans, geese, ducks, eagles a golden hawk, and the beloved family kitty Yuuki! She lived with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma for over 13 years taking no traditional treatments and although she had advanced dementia she never forgot who her family and close friends were. Mom was blessed to have many visits by family and friends in her last years, months and days. She was able to spend her final moments at home as she desired and passed peacefully surrounded by Daniel, Meg and Cathrine at 2:37 AM on March 17, 2020 at the age of 87. She was the matriarch of the family. Survived by her son Daniel Conarroe, Tyler Conarroe (grandson) and her daughter Cathrine Conarroe, Logan Conarroe (grandson)
