Dear Joanne.  So lovely and kind.  I always enjoyed talking with you and seeing you.  It has been too long and you are so dearly missed.  I pray that you are in peace, and pray for Ken and your family too.

I am so saddened to hear of the passing of Jo, we were very good friends when we worked together and lived in New West.  We enjoyed dinners, drinks our cats and going out for messages on Saturdays.  I am sorry I moved and we lost touch.  I never stopped emailing your hotmail account and never got a response.  I am absolutely disheartened that I didn't know you were gone and only found out yesterday by accident.  They say people come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime, you were in my life for a great season.  I miss you my crazy newfie friend, may you rest in Peace. It seems like it was only yesterday when you were telling me your plans to move to the island. You were so excited. I remember you telling me that you had eaten at some restaurant in Qualicum Beach and told me that the next time I was at our cabin I had to try it out. You were so happy to have found this place that served a dish that you hadn't had for so long. The funny thing is I can't even remember what that dish was. I can't remember because it didn't seem so important to me but rather I remember your smile and genuine hope that I too would try out this restaurant. I hope wherever you are you are eating as much of that dish as you can!  I loved working with you. I loved how you were always so positive, warm and kind. I always thought we might meet up some summer when I was at our cabin. I am sadden to know that this won't happen. I will think of you when I am there, because I know how much you loved living there too.

Rest in peace Joanne.  I'll miss your wit and sense of humour.
