John Begg, 67, passed away peacefully at Nanaimo Hospital on Saturday, February 21st. John was born on January 8 , 1948, in London, Ontario to Faye and George Begg. He is survived by brother, Gary Begg of Toronto; sisters Betty Ann Acres of Qualicum Beach, and Judy Clarke of Richmond.
At a young age he satisfied his curiosity and travelled a lot, spending time in BC working for a railroad (the PGE), in California, Boulder Colorado, and Florida. Being very inquisitive about the world he lived in, he set off to Europe, spending much of the time in India, where he adopted a philosophy which became an important part of his life.
He lived in the London area for many years before embarking on a new path, moving to the Prince George area of BC. There he remained until his health deteriorated and he came to Qualicum Beach to live with his sister, Betty Ann.
