Kathleen (Kay) May BRETT

Kay was born April 25th, 1941 in Vancouver BC, married and moved to Port Alberni November 1970.

Predeceased by her loving mother, Christina; father, Edmond, sisters ,Pat, June, and Pearl; brothers, John and Eddie and best friend Lorna. Kay is survived by her loving son, Konnor (Nadine); step grandchildren; Nicole, Lucas and Michael; sister, Chris; brother, Joe (Nancy); along with 5 generations of nieces and nephews and her very sweet dog, Lily. 

Mom was larger than life! She loved the natural beauty of Port Alberni and was proud to call it home. She loved bowling, camping, travelling and family. She was always engaged in something from active involvement with the local Sea Cadet Corps to volunteering with the Heart and Stroke Foundation. A strong woman, who wouldn’t think twice to help someone in need. She is and will always be greatly missed. 

Her Celebration of Life will take place at Yates Memorial Services 4470 Gertrude Street in Port Alberni on the 23rd of October, 2022 at 11 am, followed by a reception and committal of ashes later that day at Alberni Valley Memorial Gardens.
