Kenneth Chris WEBER

Born March 30, 1945, North Battleford, Sask.

Passed August 13, 2016, Port Alberni, BC

Ken was predeceased by his second wife Patricia in 2010, his parents Joseph & Catherine Weber, sisters Dianne Weber, Rose Zerr, Helen Eberhardt & Mary Cave; and brothers Leonard, Joe and Jerome Weber.

Left to cherish Ken’s memory are his loving family – son Ken Weber Jr. and his boys Chase & Max, daughter Loretta McLeod and her girls Catelyn, great grandson Aaron Hennen, Jennelle & Ryanne, daughter Janet Weber and her children Kody Weber, Keenan & Kerissa Nelson, stepson Curtis (Chrystal) Isaacson and their girls Sidney, Trysta and Tymber; his brother Ray (Florence) Weber of Port Alberni, his sisters Geny (Jack) Wandler of Regina, Sask., Kathy (Dave) Houk of Unity, Sask., and Lorraine Houk (Gary Sinnet) of Courtenay, BC as well as his many, loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ken moved to Port Alberni from Battleford in 1965.  He worked at the Plywood and Pulp mills. He represented the Bartenders’ Union when working at the Barclay and Beaufort Hotels in the late 70’s and early 80’s.  He married Pat in 1989 in Victoria, BC.  Together they enjoyed Black Mountain Ranch, travelling, visits to their families in BC, Alta, Sask., and their dog Cassy.

Ken was a loving caregiver to Pat during her battle with COPD.  Ken was very creative and enjoyed carpentry, golf, curling, old cars, the Canucks, and the Blue Jays.  He was very proud of his cooking – and loved delivering his homemade noodles, soup and canning to his relatives.

Dad we will miss your sparkling blue eyes, contagious smile and your amazing smoked salmon.

The family is grateful to all the staff at WCGH; especially the nurses, the careteams, Dr. Dewitt, Dr. Wendy Johnson, and Linda Fines; thank you all in assisting with Dad’s comfort.

Cremation has taken place.  As per Ken’s request, his ashes will be put alongside Pat’s at their gravesite in the Catholic cemetery in Battleford, Sask.   In lieu of flowers, donations in Ken’s memory may be made to Ty Watson House or a charity of your choice.
