Lois and my sister Peggy wee in the same class at Nutana Collegiate in high school.  A few short years when Peggy was out here at Qualicum Beach to visit me we were at Lois's house for a visit one afternoon.   Since then I have occasionally met up with Lois for chats, especially after Sam and a long time friend of mine were both in Arrowsmith Lodge, when Lois and I had occasions to talk about our feelings about her husband and my friend.    Sadly, I did not know that Lois was ill, and now I would like to know what ailed her, if someone would let me know.   Hadn't seen her for the past 2 or 3 years, so lost touch.   Wish her obituary had not been so delayed until today July 9th in our local newspaper, as I would have liked to attend her farewell service.   So I can say now that she was a wonderful and intelligent person, and will be missed, no doubt, by all who knew her.   With love to her family, Dawna Benson

   I would like to express my most sincere condolences to All of You, I believe from both Calgary & the California, U.S.A.  My Mom was a neighbour, of your Dad in Arrowsmith...I believe that I took some Family photos of You & your Children in the garden there.  I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your Mom.  Her & I had many interesting conversations together in the Garden there. And I know how She felt about All of You..  Be strong & keep in touch with you Dad...He is a fine Man , who still still speaks highly of all of You.  Do take Care.............................Lorine Anderson .

I was very sorry to hear that Lois had lost her battle.  it was my privilege to work with Lois at GW Skene Elementary in Calgary.  Lois was a talented and caring resource teacher who worked tirelessly to connect children with critical services and supports they needed.  We shared many laughs and some tears along the way.  Lois had a great sense of humour and kept us on our toes.  Her contributions to education were substantial.  

My thoughts are with you as I am sure she will be greatly missed.
