Lorraine Eleanor EVANS

With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.  Lorraine was born April 29, 1945 and passed away peacefully November 4, 2016 in Port Alberni, after a long fight with multiple illnesses.

She was predeceased by her parents Robert and Mabel Jefferson and her sister Audrey Berry and is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Donald Evans, her only daughter Rhonda (Brian) Hallgarth , stepsons Richard Osatiuk, David and Clifford (Colleen) Evans, her 7 grandchildren Shaun (Carly), Bradley,  Carey (Kristin), Rebecca (Douglas), Austin, Vanessa (Martin), and  Keith as well as several great grand children, her brother Russell (Marilyn) Jefferson, brother-in-law Stanley Evans, Terry (Elaine) Berry, nieces Carolyn, Sharlene (Gary) and nephew Richard.

Lorraine loved to be outdoors, fishing and camping at her favorite spot at Great Central Lake.  She was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends.  During her long life Lorraine taught her family many things – life is too short not to be happy – never worry about what others think of you and to take each day as it comes..  Lessons for life.

A Memorial Tea will be held for Lorraine at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lorraine’s name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
