Margaret Daisy Keating

She is survived by her son, Doug (Julie,) daughter Nikki (Jim,) Grandchildren Leah (Dale,) Carissa and Kelsey, Great-grandchildren Emmett and Stella, as well as nieces Bobbie (Rueben,) Shelley (Hope,) and nephew Brent. Marge was predeceased by her parents Nicolas and Hannah Maloff and her three sisters, Helen, Nina and Ollie, as well as her husband Donald Keating and daughter Lynn Keating.

Marge lived a well travelled life with her husband and was very fortunate to see many parts of the world. She lived on Pender Island for 43 years and enjoyed the quiet way of Island life. Marge belonged to the golf club and became an avid member. She was always organizing events with gusto. Marge was a wonderful cook and was always inviting friends and family over for dinner. She was always happy to fill her passion of the "need to feed" to her guests benefit. Gardening was another passion she had and her yard was a beautiful explosion of color for everyone to enjoy.

The family wishes to express our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the staff at Arrowsmith Lodge in Parksville, where she lived the last five years of her life.

There will be a small family graveside service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, any donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke foundation.
