

Born on January 29, 1930, in Michel Natal, a small mining town near Nelson, BC, she was the youngest of 10 children and the last surviving sibling. She moved to Vancouver Island after marrying Charlie, the love of her life, in July 1951. The settled in Cumberland, BC, and spend the rest of their lives in the Comox Valley, where they raised 5 daughters.
Edna lived a life of love and laughter. channeling her playful imagination into enriching the loves of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a long active member in the Cumberland United Church, the Canadian Daughters' League, and enjoyed volunteering in the community.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband Charlie (d. October 2000) and eldest daughter Barbara (d. December 2024). She is survived by her daughters Robin (Wayne), Leslie (Phil), Terry and Beverley, and was "best grandma ever" to her grandchildren Theresa, Eric, Jill, Erin, Mallory, Corde and Lilly. She will also be missed by her great-grandchildren Liam, Nolan, Mia, Nova and Remi, as well as many nephews and nieces.
