Born in Pittsburgh Township (now Kingston), Ontario, Marion was predeceased by her beloved husband of 55 years, Earl Bordewick Kelsberg, a retired RCMP officer; her parents Mabel and Lester Lloyd; and her brothers Evan, Larry, Philip, and Keith.
Together, Marion and Earl raised their three sons in Alberta (Vegreville, Mercoal, and High Prairie), before eventually settling in Calgary. In 1995, they retired to Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island, where they embraced an active and fulfilling retirement.
In Qualicum Beach, Marion and Earl created friendships as part of the Happy Gang Group. They became members of the Qualicum Beach Seniors Centre where they spent many happy hours playing darts and bridge, activities Marion greatly enjoyed. She also generously volunteered at a local elementary school, helping students with reading. Marion cherished long walks with her family and especially loved baking with her grandchildren. She enjoyed nothing more than having long conversations with family members, listening intently, asking questions and showing great interest in even the smallest of details. She was fiercely loyal, immensely proud of her children and grandchildren, and steadfast in her unwavering love and support.
Marion will be lovingly remembered by her sons Brian (Deanne), Blair (Stephanie), and David (Tara); her grandchildren Chelsey, Katelin, Rebecca, Derek, Kynan, and Karleigh; and her great-grandchildren Anna, Henry, Lennox, Oliver, and Beau.
As per their wishes, Marion and Earl will be interred together at a later date on the peaceful grounds of the Qualicum Beach Cemetery.
