

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joyce Lorraine and his cousin Alex Sparks along with her husband David who reside in England.
Mark started his automobile industry career in Toronto and continued when he and Joyce moved to Vancouver where they were married.
Mark spent the last 40 years in the automobile industry having done 12 of those years in the retail end and this comprised of running medium to large dealerships in cities across Canada. However the majority of his working life was spent with 3 major manufacturers, starting with Renault of Canada as Zone Manager in Vancouver and finishing as Branch Operations Manager in Toronto. He then joined Mazda Motors of Canada as Zone Manager of Western area and finished as National Sales Manager for Canada. His last endeavour was with Honda Motor Company as Zone Manger, Western Operations and retired from Honda as their Vice President of Market Development. He also served on Honda Canada’s Board of Directors.
During his business tenure Mark was able to work in many different cities and countries. Time was spent in Tokyo and Hiroshima, Japan, Los Angeles and St. Louis, USA and Paris, France and Sydney, Australia.
Mark was a highly respected force in the automobile industry and his knowledge will be greatly missed.
Mark and Joyce retired to Nanoose Bay, on Vancouver Island. Mark kept himself busy by running a small business where he purchased used tools, refurbished them and re-sold at his leisure.
During their time together, Mark and Joyce loved, raised and cared for 6 Bull Terriers, all of which were pups and rescue dogs.
Joyce would like to thank the family, friends and a special thanks to Rosemary Graham and the home support staff for their continued care.
Mark will be greatly and lovingly missed by his wife Joyce, many friends and his four legged companion Cinnamon.
