Pat was a devoted mother to her children Jan Hansen and Reid Hislop. She is survived also by 6 grandchildren, whom she loved deeply: Lindsay, Tyler, Reis, Sally, Alex, and Jack; and son-in-law Ray Hansen and daughter-in-law Kristen Hislop.
Pat chose to not have a formal service. Instead, she asked that her ashes be spread at the same location as her husband's, Barry Hislop, who passed away 11 years earlier. Her sense of humour and devotion to all things good will be forever missed by all who knew her and who were familiar with her often expressed sentiment, "One Day at a Time."
Memorial donations can be made to the Society of Organized Services (SOS), district 69 in Parksville, B.C., where Pat volunteered for over 20 years.
