It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Robert, who passed away on February 26, at the age of 79. Robert was predeceased by his parents Thelma and Bill Walker. He is survived by sister Lois MacKinnon (Alex) and brother Ryan Walker (Rose). Robert was born in Grandview, Manitoba and attended university in Vancouver. Robert liked to travel, spending time in Alberta, the Gulf Islands and other places but his desire and destination became Vancouver Island, where he lived in various locales before finally settling in Qualicum Bay. We remember Robert as very creative person who had passion for creating art and had a great love for reading. He was a soft-spoken man with a dry sense of humour and a kind heart. He was a thoughtful, loving person and was his mother’s caregiver for her last years. He will be dearly missed by friends and family. There will be no service at Robert’s request.
