Bob and I were friends for over 64 years who shared the same birth date. We finished high school in Goose Bay, Labrador together in 1962.  Since then, we followed different paths but still maintained contact.  Ironically, we ended up in Air Traffic Control but in different regions of Canada. My wife, Cathy and I hosted Bob and Jeannette while in Oman as well as our Canadian home in the Maritimes. We even hosted Bob and son, Jonathan when they toured the Maritimes. We maintained contact on Facebook and via email and had our yearly conversation on our birthday.  I will surely miss you my friend RIP

Bob, and his lovely wife Jeanette, were my neighbours here in Parksville.  Almost every day, they would come by my house as they walked their two beloved dogs.  We would have a short chat and away they went. Other tasks were collecting my newspaper & garbage cans and shoveling snow from my driveway. Bob became my substitute "brother" with all kinds of help on how to fix, how to build or give me a name of someone who could.  He was a very smart, and extremely personable man and very proud to be a grandpa.  Bob, you will be sorely missed by all your friends and neighbours, and it was my personal pleasure to have known you.

Bob was such a strong person through and through, from character, personality and presence. 

	What I will remember will always be part of the man that I have become. Having met at 18 years old in Labrador, he became a close friend and had great influence on my life.

	We were all very lucky to have had Bob in our lives and as much as Bob will be missed by us all, Bob will remain with us all, every day, as long as we can remember.

	We love and miss you Bob, past, present and future.
