He was predeceased by his childhood sweetheart, Betty (Turkinton) and his sisters, June and Edith.
Ronald (Ron) belonged to St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Nanaimo, sang in their choir, and was involved in their many work projects. He was a member of the Vancouver Island Car Club; he loved his old car. Ron was also a member of the Gabriola Gun Club. Ron also loved to travel.
Ron is lovingly remembered by his wife, Margaret (Maggie) and her three children, Fiona, Mandy (Kingsley,) and Duncan. Thank you to them for their help and support. Ron is also lovingly remembered by his children, Taryn (Alan) McKay, Lance Bannister, and Gregory (Deborah) Bannister.
In keeping with Ron's wishes, no service will be held at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
