For over 100 years, Ruth Butler lived life moderately, with just the right amount of fun, in one of the most beautiful places in the world. She was loved by many as a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.
Though she had a modest start to life, Ruth was known for her welcoming and giving nature. Through her vast life experiences, she passed on her wisdom in the matters of life, love and happiness, and instilled her passions of frugality, gardening, cooking and entertaining to her family. She is survived by her children Lois Koel, David Butler, her grandchildren Curtis, Blair, Derek and Alana, and her great grandchildren, Ashley, Taylor, Isaac, and Adrianna.
Her family can’t thank the staff at Qualicum Gardens enough for their wonderful care and for allowing Ruth to pass in peace and comfort.
