Survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Louise (Crabe) Parrack; daughter and son in law Edie and Gary Hough; grandchildren Gary Wayne Hough (Melanie) and Jennifer Hough-Procknow; great-grand daughters Jessica Hough and Alison and Alexis Procknow. Also survived by brothers Dick Hagen and Doug Parrack, from Ontario. Victor’s close family also included his numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews and our special friends and close neighbours.
Victor was a firefighter on several air force bases before he retired from the London International Airport (Crumlin) in Ontario. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Odd Fellows and continued to be a constant supporter of the Society of Organized Services (District 69) here in Parksville.
Vic was a world traveller, an excellent bird watcher and poker player extraordinaire but he will be best remembered for being the kind and gentle man that he was.
A Celebration of his life will be held at Yates Funeral Chapel, 1000 Allsbrook Road, Parksville on Saturday, October 26th, at 3:00 pm. The family will take Victor’s ashes back to Fingal, Ontario next summer for burial and a small celebration will be held at that time.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Victor’s memory to the Society of Organized Services (SOS), PO Box 898, 245 Hirst Ave West, Parksville, BC V9P 2G9
