It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Walter Thomas Stevenson, born in Campbell River, BC on March 24, 1962. Walter left us suddenly on March 6, 2014 in Port Alberni, BC.
Walter was predeceased by his father Robert D. Stevenson in 2002 and is survived by his mother Marjorie Stevenson, his spouse Eliza George, his children Terry, Jared and Jolene Stevenson, his three grandchildren, his siblings Deanna Roberts, Robert Stevenson, Muriel Stevenson, Betty Stevenson and numerous nieces and nephews.
Walter worked most of his life as a commercial fisherman, his home base was Port Alberni, BC – where he was raised and where he raised his family.
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, March 17, 2014 – 11:00 AM – Yates Funeral Chapel - Luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, please pay forward Walter’s many acts of kindness to those in need OR donations may be made to the Salvation Army Food Bank or to the Bread of Life.
