Hospital. Charles was born on January 16, 1944 in Goldthwaite, Texas. He was preceded in death by his Dad, Ross H. Bissonnet and Mother, Beatrice Bissonnet. Charles is survived by his wife Letha Bissonnet of 57 years and son, David Bissonnet, daughter, Tracy Fuselier Champion and husband Darren Champion, Granddaughter, Cynthia Washburn and husband Joe, Grandson, Joseph Anthony (Tony) Champion. Two beautiful great granddaughter’s, Madison Lynn Washburn and Shelby Diane Washburn. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, H. L. Gatlin who was like a brother to Charles, by cousins, numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Charles graduated from Milby High School in 1964 along with Letha the love of his life and they married on June 16, 1964 and had over 57 wonderful years together. He retired from ILA 24 where he worked for 30 years as a longshoreman. He was a member of the ROTC in school. His passions in life were hunting, traveling, watching the Astros games, loving his family especially his 2 great granddaughters. He was a member of the South Houston Masonic Lodge No. 1295. Charles was a
member of Asbury United Methodist Church for over 45 years and served on several different
committees. For the past 34 years along with his wife they have run a very successful Avon business.
Charles went to meet his Lord and Savior on Monday morning and passed peacefully surrounded by
love, with his wife, son and daughter at his bedside.
Celebration of life will be held Tuesday, September 28 at Noon. Asbury United Methodist Church,
5354 Space Center Blvd., Pasadena, Texas 77505 and immediately following, the burial will take place
at Grandview Cemetery, 85012 Spencer Hwy., Pasadena, Texas 77505.
