After retiring from Pasadena I.S.D., she enjoyed fishing trips to their favorite lake with sister Dorothy, bowling, playing cards and bunko, putting together puzzles, crocheting blankets for family, and meeting at Skillets to share a meal with friends. She also enjoyed playing softball in her earlier years. On nice days you could find her outdoors manicuring the lawn, especially when the leaves blew onto her lawn she had just raked. She also enjoyed washing and cleaning her car and working in her many flower and rose gardens. She loved the beauty of the outdoors and was often caught sitting on her back patio feeling the breeze and listening to the birds chirp. She loved hopping on an early morning bus to Louisiana to feed the slot machines until her allotted money was spent or it was time to return home. She loved her many neighborhood friends and conversations over coffee with the Neighbor’s family who called her “Mrs. O.”
