Billie S. Bishop

Billie Starling Bishop, 201 McDermott, Deer Park, TX, said goodbye to this world, and went on to a better place with Jesus on 20 March 2015. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Bishop Stovall, and her husband James L. Bishop. Billie was a member of the Deer Park First Baptist Church, and a charter member of the Silver Set Department of that church. During WWII she served in the U.S. Navy WAVES, and was a proud member of the Greatest Generation. Billie was born 13 February 1920 in Livingston, TX, and raised nearby in the small community of New Willard, TX. She was a proud resident of Deer Park, TX for the past 59 years.

Billie is survived by her daughter Jo Ann Bishop Shults and husband Jim Shults. A viewing is planned for 3:00 – 5:00 PM Sunday 22 March 2015 at the Grandview Funeral Home in Pasadena, TX located at 8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, TX. Funeral services are planned for Monday, 23 March 2015 at 12:30PM also at Grandview Funeral Home with internment to follow on the grounds there next to her other family members.
