We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Clarence E. Boyd, Jr., affectionately known as “CB”. He passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, September 30, 2026 at his home in Beach City, Texas at the age of 96.
He was born on January 14, 1930, in Hume, Missouri, the only son of Morene Motter Boyd and Clarence E. Boyd, Sr. He and Margaret raised their family in New Orleans, Louisiana prior to relocating to the Houston area in 1985.
He is survived by his daughters, Shellie Boyd Givens and her husband Tommy of Beach City, Texas, Sherri Youngblood, and her husband Dave of LaPorte, Texas Cheryl Boyd Giambrone, and her husband Harry Cook of Denver Colorado, and three granddaughters Lindsey, Lauren and Lacie Foster.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife of 57 beautiful years, Margaret Boyd.
His greatest legacy was the love he gave his family. The love and care he gave Margaret prior to her passing was amazing to witness. He was by her side until the very end and was heartbroken when she passed. The family takes great comfort knowing they are reunited for eternity. He was the kindest man and truly enjoyed sharing stories and jokes and making everyone around him laugh. He was one of a kind and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. CB’s legacy will live on in the family he loved so fiercely.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the staff at Heart to Heart hospice. The compassion and care they gave him in his final days will never be forgotten.
The family will hold a private visitation at Pasadena Funeral Home, 2203 Pasadena Blvd, Pasadena, Texas 77502 on Thursday, October 8, 2026 with Committal Service Friday morning, October 9, 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038.
