Cristela R Cardenas, age 70, passed away peacefully in Bryan, Texas on July 2, 2018. To honor her life the family has planned a Memorial Service Thursday, July 5 2018 at 6 p.m., at CrossCentral Church, 408 E 24th St in Bryan Texas. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 8 2018 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Hwy in Pasadena Texas. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, July 9, 2018 at 10 a.m., at St Pius V Catholic Church, 824 Main St in Pasadena Texas, followed with interment at Bethany Cemetery.
Cristela was born in Brownsville Texas to Alberto and Angelita Rivera. She was the oldest of four siblings.
Her husband Felix Luis Cardenas Jr. preceded her in death in 2002. Cristela has been reunited with him in heaven on the day of their 49th wedding anniversary. Their love for each other never faded.
She loved her family, a son Felix Luis Cardenas III and two daughters Rosalinda Johnston and husband Sean, and Julie Yvonne Trevino and husband Steve. She had five granddaughters Angelina, Audrie, Amber, Alyssa and Aila.
Cristela enjoyed reading the Bible, praying for others and attending church. She leaves a legacy of a loving family, strong faith and a lasting impression of kindness to all who knew her.

You were not only our sister-in-law... You were an amazing friend... Loving... Caring .... and some one to talk to about everything and anything.... Rosie... Felix and Julie... You have been beautiful and wonderful daughters and son.
She was sooooo proud of you and loved you so... Audrey... Alyssa... Amber... Angelina and Aila... You girls kept her so happy... The laughs and amazing good times are memories for a lifetime... Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you... Our heartfelt condolences and most sincere sympthy .... But just knowing she and your daddy are together... No more pain. No more suffering...
