It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved father, David Timothy Gaspard, who left us unexpectedly on March 3, 2025, at the age of 65.
David is survived by his children; Tanya and her husband Bryan, and Jeramey and his wife Audra; his grandchildren, Cheyenne, Amber, Lorelai, and Wyatt; his brothers, Russell and Troy; and his girlfriend, LaNell. He is predeceased by his daughter Amber, and parents Frank and Barbara.
David was born in Eunice, Louisiana on May 29th, 1959, to Frank and Barbara Gaspard. On February 15, 1981, January 17, 1984, and May 22, 1985, respectively, he welcomed his children, who were the most important part of his life. Sadly, at just two months old, David lost his eldest child, Amber.
David was a devoted father and grandfather. Whether that was attending his son’s baseball and football games or his daughters dance recitals, David was always there cheering on his children. David worked his entire life in a physically demanding career field, but regardless of how tired he was at the end of the day he always made time for his children and grandchildren.
David loved to hunt and fish and was most likely the Houston Astros and Houston Oilers/Texans biggest fan and anyone at the local watering hole can attest to that. David loved to cook Cajun food and could give any restaurant in town a run for their money with his chicken and sausage gumbo and his boiled crawfish. David’s love and commitment for his younger brothers and friends was unmatched. He will be deeply missed by friends, family and all who knew him.
