Dee pursued learning with steady dedication, earning an associate’s degree from San Jacinto College and was continuing to work toward a bachelor’s degree. Professionally, Dee served others with care and purpose as a licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor at Into Action Recovery Center, offering guidance with a calm presence, a thoughtful mind, and genuine compassion.
Away from work and studies, Dee found simple, meaningful joys; especially in reading psychology books and spending time fishing. Those who knew Dee will remember an easygoing spirit, a friendly way of making others feel at home, and an intelligence that showed itself not only in conversation, but in the quiet attentiveness given to people and to life. Dee’s sense of humor and gift for storytelling brought lightness and connection, leaving memories that will be returned to often and held with gratitude.
Dee will be deeply missed by their children, Jake, Ellie, Cullen and Charlotte Jannise; their father, Dennis Dawayne Jannise; their brother, Michael Jannise (wife Bridget); their sister Linda (husband Nathan); their nephews Isaiah and Noah Cole; and their beloved cat Bubbles.
Dee is preceded in death by their mother, Linda Jannise.
Memorial Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the family' Go Fund Me to support Dee's children during this difficult time.
Dee would want everyone to know that if they have clothes or furniture to donate, they should give them to Into Action Recovery anytime.
