

Deeann Smithson Moore, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on December 21, 1946, in Oklmugee, Oklahoma, Deeann was the cherished daughter of Dee and Agnes Smithson. She was known for her compassionate heart, resilient spirit, and cheerful demeanor, which touched the lives of all who knew her.
In her early years, Deeann was raised in a loving home by her devoted parents, Dee and Agnes. She carried their legacy of kindness and warmth throughout her life, always welcoming others with an open heart and a big smile. She was predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband, Thomas Edward Moore, whom she married on July 15, 1965, and her precious granddaughter, Jessica Moore.
Deeann's family was the cornerstone of her life. She is survived by her loving sister, Judy Mayo; her sons, Jeff Moore and his wife Jennifer, and Keith Moore and his wife Martha. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Bryce Moore and his wife Rachel, Myranda Burkholder and her husband Daniel, Taylor Moore, Madison Moore, and Bailey Moore. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Braxton and Braelynn Burkholder, and a cherished nephew, Jayce Mayo.
A woman of many talents, Deeann enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. She had a passion for puzzles and crafts, finding joy and peace in her creative pursuits. She also loved to travel, with cruises being a particular favorite, where she could explore new places and create cherished memories with loved ones.
Deeann was a woman of strength and determination, known for her strong-willed nature and firm but loving guidance. Her cheerful attitude and warm, welcoming spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. She was a beacon of light and love, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her.
A celebration of Deeann’s life will be held on July 30, 2026, at 12:00 PM at the Grandview Funeral Home & Memorial Park, located at 8501 Spenser Hwy, Pasadena, Texas 77505. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of her remarkable life and the love she shared with so many.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Deeann’s memory to the Animal Organization, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, or the American Heart Association.
