

Doris Jean Robinson Doiron passed peacefully at home on February 9, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. Doris Jean was born on January 25, 1933, to Doris Patterson and Harold Eugene Robinson, in Hemphill, Texas. She was raised in Hemphill and Nacogdoches. She married her lifetime love Everett in 1952, and they made their permanent home in Pasadena. Doris attended Stephen F. Austin College and later graduated from University of Houston, and had a 30+-year career as a teacher, mainly teaching art at South Houston Intermediate School.
Doris, 90 years, was preceded in death by her beloved husband Everett Nolan Doiron, with whom she shared 59 lovely years and cared for at home until his passing in 2011; sons Robert Everett, Keith David, and Gerald Patterson; brother Keith Patterson Robinson, sister Peggy, mother Doris, father Harold Eugene, granddaughters Johnna and Rebecca, great-granddaughter Zoe, sister-in-law Wanda, and nephew Russell.
Doris Jean is survived by her children: John (Pam), Phillip, and Melanie; grandchildren Jared (Fawnya), Jeremy, Caleb, Joshua (Jessie), Jessica (Rich), Jacob, Gerry (Kiley), Daniel (Jen), Amy (Andy), Nathan, Annemarie (Nick), Andrew, Aaron, and Aidan; great-grandchildren Zach, Ryan, Tanner, Penelope, Olivia, Noah, Lorelai, and Adeline; and niece Rhonda (Mike), children Amber, Kate, and Cullen.
Known as "Mama/Nana," Doris Jean blessed her family with countless fond memories including: generous home cooking, wise advice, willingness to listen, respectfulness, her beautiful art, sense of humor, incredible patience, her deep belief in Jesus and a compassionate God, and, most of all, her boundless capacity to love. Mama was ever a lady of amazing grace. She has been the very soul of our family and will be missed every day, in every way. We love you and celebrate your memory, Mama. It has been such a blessing to belong to you. Go and join Daddy, your sweetheart and best friend, because we know you've ached for his presence. We rejoice in knowing you are now whole again and among so many loved ones you have missed. You will be remembered and mentioned often, with great respect and adoration.
