Doyle Edwin Hallmark, 80, of Highlands, Texas, passed away on September 22, 2026. Born on July 2, 1946, in Pasadena, Texas, Doyle lived a life marked by steady devotion to family, service to country, and a presence that others genuinely enjoyed.
Doyle attended junior college, continuing his education with the same practical determination that would shape the many paths of his working life.
An Army veteran, Doyle served with distinction and pride, including his time playing trombone as part of the Army Band. Over the years, he brought that same discipline and dedication to a wide range of occupations, including work as a salesman. He was especially proud of his time as an instructor for concealed carry firearms, as well as his service as an NRA Recruiter—roles that reflected his commitment to responsibility, preparedness, and teaching others with care and conviction.
Those who knew Doyle remembered him not only for what he did, but for the way he made people feel in his presence. His personality left an impression—one that brought enjoyment to others and will be recalled with gratitude by all who shared in his life.
Doyle was preceded in death by his mother and father, Bessie Hamrick and Oscar Leroy Hallmark. He is survived by his loving wife of 8 years and 9 1/2 months, Andrea Tina Hallmark; his children, Rachel Hallmark, Christopher Hallmark (Amy), Kevin Hallmark (Leatha), and Brian Hallmark (Jennifer); his sister, Joyce Spencer; his grandchildren, Audri, Andrea, Logan and Abigail Zikeli, Alicia and Christian Hallmark, Sadie and Brady Hallmark, and Bryan Younghans; and his great grandchild, Savannah Hallmark.
A Celebration of Life will be held at First Baptist Highlands Church, 210 North Magnolia, Highlands, TX 77562, on November 20, 2026, at 11:00 am.
