She graduated from Frederick HS in 1942. On July 6, 1948 Cecil Harold Dinwiddie and Elizabeth Henrietta Reed were united in marriage in Seminole, OK. From this union were born four children, Harold Ray, Rebecca Lynne, Ronald Leslie and Larry Wayne.
Elizabeth served her country as a dedicated Navy wife for 20 years. She worked as a teacher’s aide at South Houston High School for over 20 years and then volunteered at the district library for over 20 years. Her favorite volunteer work was with Impact Church of Christ in downtown Houston where she helped minister to the homeless. As a member of Watters Road Church of Christ in Pasadena, TX, she taught Bible class for 1st and 2nd graders for over 20 years.
She is survived by four children: Ray Dinwiddie and wife Lynda, Rebecca Hastings and husband Al, Ron Dinwiddie and wife Serena and Larry Dinwiddie and wife Tammy; grandchildren Michael Dinwiddie, Jason Fletcher and wife Cyndi, Melissa Willcut and husband Sam, Mariam Matchell and husband Jeff, Robert Dinwiddie, James Fletcher and wife Tabetha, Rene’ Dinwiddie, Katherine Summers and husband Todd, Casey Dinwiddie and wife Kimberly and Kelly Dinwiddie; great-grandchildren Emily Fletcher, Jason Fletcher, Sean Fletcher, Christopher Willcut, Courtney Willcut, Levi Dinwiddie, Jeremy Dinwiddie, Alicia Dinwiddie, Cameron Willcut, Tawny Dinwiddie, Jackie Dinwiddie, Josh Matchell and Logan Dinwiddie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, “Daddy” Tom Taylor, husband of over 55 years, Cecil Harold, daughter Rosalind Fletcher and great-grandson Jordan Fletcher.
