She was born in New Orleans to the late William and Mary B. Lussan. Puddin graduated from Hahnville High School and LSU. After graduating she moved to San Francisco where she worked in Fashion Merchandising for a major Department Store. While in California she met the love of her life, Ed Greenfield, who she later married. Puddin and Ed enjoyed traveling and in their later years traveled extensively in their RV. Puddin LOVED to dance. She line-danced, ballroom danced, boot scoot and boogie danced, and remained active in dancing into her late 80’s. She was an excellent seamstress, sports enthusiast, and loved Arnold Palmer. She was a great cook, a fashion maven, she loved Mardi Gras balls, and was a charter member of the St. Charles Women’s Club.
The last several years of her life were spent in Texas with her daughter Mary, where she lovingly welcomed the birth of 6 of her great grandchildren. Puddin’s cherished caregiver and beloved friend Menesha Pike, “NeeNee” who was with her until the end, was instrumental in keeping her healthy and active for the past several years. We can never repay her for the exceptional love and care she gave to our mama.
Puddin is preceded in death by her parents, her devoted husband Edward William Greenfield, sisters Mary Elizabeth Cefalu, Helena Pecoraro, Ruth Horn, brother Tom Lussan, and son in law Colonel Tom Kilpatrick.
She is survived by her son Bill Greenfield, wife Faye, Gloria G. Kilpatrick, Tom Greenfield, Mary G. Boudoin-Case, husband Billy, 9 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by all who loved her so much.
