Junior was a beloved son, uncle, and friend who will deeply be missed by family and friends. He grew up in Port Lavaca and went to Travis Jr High School. He loved fishing. When he got older, he was an avid car enthusiast. He would own the newest cars such as the 1968 Plymouth 4 door and 1973 Ford Pickup truck. He would burn tires on these vehicles.
He worked in maintenance at Brown & Root for 15 years. He received service pin awards from the company. He also worked as a contractor in maintenance at the University of Houston, main campus, for 3 years. Then when his parents died in 1992, leaving him to find another residence.
He moved in with his brother Genaro’s family in Deer Park. He spent much of his time with his other brother Chris and his family in Pasadena. He had a close relationship with Chris and Ramon. For the remaining years of his life, he would work at Jack’s convenience store. He would stock and clean the store. There he would make many friends.
Unfortunately, when he got leukemia, that changed his lifestyle and eventually he was not able to work anymore.
Junior will be remembered for his kindness, infectious smile, and hard-work ethic. He will be missed dearly.
A funeral service will be held in his honor on May 8th at Pasadena Funeral Chapel from 5-8pm. On May 9th, 2023, he will be laid to rest at Grand View Memorial Park, 8501 Spencer Hwy., Pasadena, TX 77505.
